Out West

I've always loved the West Coast and have pondered the idea of moving that way for the past few years. Last week, I visited my best friend, her husband and their two small children who live in the outskirts of Portland. We drove to east Oregon to a small town called Dufur and spent some time at a ranch, swinging from tree swings and riding in combines. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating to be out in wide open spaces and to see mountains with rivers criss-crossing in between.
